We were blessed with such beautiful weather for most of our 2011 weddings, and Whitney and John’s wedding day was no exception!  You may remember this awesome DC couple’s engagement session (click here to check ‘er out), and their wedding day was truly the icing on the cake!  Jennifer and I met up with miss Whitney at her parents’ beautiful home to photograph everyone getting ready. The house was a buzz with wonderful ladies who were all having a blast, celebrating the last hours before Whitney was to officially become Mrs. Goetz.  John and Whitney had also decided to do a “first meet” prior to the wedding ceremony, and Whitney’s mom had arranged for us to use the amazing yard of one of their neighbors.  The best man and maid of honor took Whitney and John their respective gifts from one another, and after lots of smiles and happy tears, the meet was underway!  It was adorable to photograph these two as they laid eyes on each other for the first time all dressed up, and after that we all headed toward the church, where the entire day continued with the same excitement and happiness!  The ceremony was beautiful, and we especially loved the trees that were brought into the sanctuary!  The bride even had a surprise for her wedding party, and on the way over to the reception after the “I Dos,” the trolley made a special stop at Capone’s for a small celebration!  The tent-covered reception at the Blackthorn Club was a blast, and one of the most heartfelt moments was when Whitney and her sweet sis did the routine to “Sisters”from White Christmas, one of their favorite childhood movies!  They went all out with the feathers and everything, and I know I’ll never forget how awesome it was!  The night carried on to the sounds of The Spirit of Soul Dance Band, and the guests danced ’til their hearts content.  Whitney and John, the girls and I are so thankful for you!  I am so glad that you chose us to document this momentous time in your lives…we wish you all the best, health and happiness, and many MANY years of marital bliss!
