We first photographed the lovely Clement family back in the spring of this year when little Hudson was nine months old. We completely fell in LOVE with him (and his adorable accessories!), so when he started steppin’ up and walking and it came time for his next session we were SO excited! We knew everyone wanted to do something fun and colorful to go along with his personality, and the county fair turned out to be the perfect choice! Mom Rachel always has the best style and the cutest little-boy clothes for Hudson (and dad Tom’s clothes were perfect, too lol)! When everyone arrived at the fair, the little guy was a bit overwhelmed by all the new sights and sounds…he just sat there wide-eyed and soaked it all in. And once he had some time to adjust he was ALL smiles and big laughs for us! SO precious! We visited the carousel, kiddie boats and even Nemo the fish…and the colors and expressions from this shoot just can’t be beat! Rachel, we’re so excited for you to see this sneak peek – we love your family and are so happy we got to document Hudson’s first fair experience right down to the cotton candy! (It’s a good thing I already have a Hudson or I’d snatch yours in a heartbeat!) ; ) Enjoy the weekend, and we can’t wait to share your entire collection!

Ya know how some people just make your heart full and happy? Well, the Tiller family is like that. Good people who just make you smile! Becky, Christy and I cannot say enough sweet things about these guys! We’ve known them for years now (take a look WAYYY back on the old blog for their last shoot), and always get so excited when it’s time for their sessions because we know that kiddos Alice and Sam are going to keep us laughing from start to finish! AND they’re the type of kids who beg us not to leave when the session is over! Awwwwwwwwww! (If we can even call it a “session” - we have so much fun that we sometimes find ourselves playing instead of shooting LOL!) When Christy and I arrived this year, everyone gave us the same sweet welcome as always – but this time there was a new addition to the family! Furry baby Coconut, their 8 month old puppy! She’s just as precious as Alice and Sam, and we were happy to include her at the shoot! Kim and Dave, thank you so much for inviting us into your lives and allowing us to play and document your kids as they grow! You have crazy, fun, awesome, AMAZING pictures and I really don’t know how we narrowed it down for the sneak peek! I can’t wait for you to see your whole collection and add to your wall groupings! YAY!

This was the France family’s first Picsee session and we were so excited when they booked! Mom Vandi and I brainstormed together about the perfect location for the session, and since it was top priority to capture daughters Maddie & Kate at their specific stages doing what they love, we decided that a session at home was ideal! Jeff and Vandi have a BEATUIFUL home with a huge yard right beside the river, gorgeous landscaping, the works…and when their golden, Chloe, came to meet us at the front door I knew we were destined to have some serious fun! We had to reschedule the France’s original session date, but it turned out to be a good thing (as always!) because Maddie lost the wiggly, loose tooth she had been holding onto for quite some time! Both girls were really excited for us to take pictures of them playing and running around, so that’s exactly what we did! We explored and stopped to play at lots of different spots in the yard, and a good time was had by all! (And even though both Vandi and Jeff swore they weren’t easy to photograph, we took LOTS of sweet images and think we definitely proved them wrong!) France family, thank you all for being so fun and up-for-anything…your images are awesomely happy because of it!!! Enjoy your sneak peek and we can’t wait to share your collection!

baby king for a day!

Meet Mr. Greyson Smith King - another one of the sweet baby boys who came to hang out with us at the studio this month! Greyson’s mommy Nicole brought him in last week, at 4 weeks new, and even though that’s about 2 weeks older than we recommend for our Picsee babes, he did a GREAT job! He had a full belly and was totally ready to snooze when he arrived, which was perfect! For the most part this little guy was peaceful and happy, and we strategically took passy-breaks between poses to keep him that way! ; ) He really looks like a little angel in these pics! Nicole, you guys have such a precious and snuggly darling… We ADORE Greyson’s images, and hope everyone else will love them just as much! We’re super excited to design your announcements and watch your little bundle of joy grow into a big boy as we document his milestones! Enjoy this sneak peek and we can’t wait to share the rest of his collection! Happy Monday!

love : plane and simple!

Danielle and Brandon were married last August – and we, unfortunately, were already booked for their date (boo, hiss!) – but luckily, we were able to document their wedded bliss earlier this month via an Afterglow session! How sweet is that?! We treated this kickin’ couple just like we do all our wedding couples, having them fill out our special “all about you” questionairre to get the scoop on what makes them tick! And once they sent their answers back and we read through them, the ideas immediately started flowing! Danielle and Brandon LOVE to travel and had even just recently moved to Nashville, sooooo we decided a travel theme for part of their session would do quite nicely. (Complete with planes, homemade paper airplanes made from maps, suitcases…the works!) They were also up for some not-so-typical bride/groom images, so we had some EXTRA special coolness in mind for that… Well, finally the long-awaited day arrives – and ICK! Hot, humid, cloudy, rainy…NOT ideal for our stellar session. D & B had driven up from Nashville especially for these pics, so we knew we had to think fast! It just so happened that we had a Nashville wedding consult scheduled for the following week, so we took it on the road and moved all our grand plans thataway! (P.S. we LOVE Central time!) My aunt and uncle live just outside Nashvegas, and they conveniently own a plane, and honestly, things couldn’t have worked out better! The plane was available – heck, the whole hangar was available…and we spotted a too-good-to-describe little ’ole laundry mat PERFECT for formal wedding attire… ; ) Danielle and Brandon, you guys were so natural in front of the camera, you totally knew how to work it like pros and made our job a BLAST! Jennifer and I thank you so much for being up for all our crazy fun ideas and having us document these memories for you! (And special thanks to all the peeps involved in pulling this shoot off!) We love your images and can’t wait for you to see the whole collection! Until then, enjoy the sneak…

5 lbs & 7 oz of sweetness!

Teeny tiny babygirl Hayden made her debut into the world 3 weeks prior to her due date, on 8.9.10. What a neat birthday to have! Daddy Joe called to give the word that Daphanie was in labor, and Jennifer and I rushed as fast as we could to the hospital to photograph Hayden’s birth. Everything was so intense and happened SO fast, it was one of the most emotional experiences ever…I think EVERYONE was crying the happiest tears by the end! Hayden arrived safely, and she was so petite and perfect, we just couldn’t wait for her newborn session! Daphanie brought her in to the studio three days later for us to capture her brand-newness, and oh my goodness – this teensy babe is a sweetheart! After taking some precious shots inside, we decided to head to the farm where the Parham family’s maternity images were taken…SO awesome and significant! We brought our neat little wooden bed and Hayden looked so cute on it out in all that tall grass! Daphanie even had an awesome headband to add the finishing touch (complete with a baby birdcage veil – ADORABLE!), but Hayden was so small that we actually had to tie a knot in the back for a perfect fit! And a few days later, we met Daphanie, Joe and big sister Erica at home for part II of the shoot - some ahhhmazing family images! (I seriously dare you to look at these and not fall in love!) The pictures are so emotional and heartwarming…some of our favorites to date! Daphanie, all us Picsee chicks love you and are so happy for you! I know you are gonna LOVE these sneak peeks and I can’t wait to show you the whole collection! Enjoy and we hope everyone else adores them, too…
